It was excitement plus at our annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic recently. Our Year 6 and Foundation Buddies enjoyed various picnic games such as egg and spoon races, tunnel ball, parachute, vortex and sack races. We were thrilled with the level of participation, respect and sportsmanship demonstrated throughout the day. After all of the activities the students enjoyed a picnic and some relaxation time with their buddy.

One of the exciting programs that our Foundation students participate in once they have had time to settle in is PMP. PMP is a gross motor skill program that supports students to improve their balance, hand- eye co-ordination and teamwork skills. We are lucky as not only does our Phys Ed teacher Mr McDonald run the program with the support of our Foundation teachers but our Foundation parents have the opportunity, and put their hands up to support. A great time is had by all.

While we are all aware that Remote Learning hasn’t been the easiest time for anyone, we can’t help but be extremely proud of our school community. Over the journey, our parents, students and teachers have all worked together to make the absolute best of the situation and support each other as much as possible. This has continued upon the return of our junior students with staggered starts and finishes. Our parents have all been incredibly supportive and we have watched our youngest members grow before our eyes as they have transitioned to walking themselves into school with courage and for the most part, smiles on their faces as they have said goodbye to their parents and walked themselves to their building. We have seen older siblings giving their younger siblings hugs good bye and even friends give hugs as they have supported their friends on the way in.
We are so incredibly proud of you all!
