Last night two of our Grade six student’s represented our school at the annual Croydon Rotary Primary School Speech Competition held at Melba College. In total there were twelve participants from six local schools, who I am sure went through as rigorous a progress as our students did just to make it there. Chloe and Rianha, having won the school competition, prepared a brand new speech for the night from a specific list of topics given to them. The quality, depth and delivery of their speeches was phenomenal with comments such as “That was magic” being heard from the audience.
The final result saw both girls placing in the top three with Chloe finishing third and Rianha coming first. Next step for Rianha is the regional competition in November.
Well done girls- you have definitely made our school proud!
